In recent times, design aficionados have been showing an unconditional interest
in bathroom architecture and thus are not hesitating to spend their hard earned
cash on it. Hence the all encompassing trend of designers committing to a
bathroom culture which highlights design principles like sophistication and
unabashed  luxury.

The Supernova Collection by Dornbracht and Sieger Design exemplifies classic
luxury and highlights how quality complement’s quietude finesse and gentility.
While the collection follows all the necessary utilitarian design principles however
that doesn’t mean it lacks glamour. Its hard not to be taken with the sculptural
quality and the clean lines of the Supernova fitting line as the collection ends up
culminating into a scintillating effect. With its many facets and geometrical
surfaces, I am sure that design mavens will not only lap up the contemporary
artistry but also be satisfied with the collections’ unsurpassed performance.
THE SPIRIT OF WATER
Tanya Palta
Architect Mike Meiré is the man behind the Supernova Collection which consists of
a shower, a tub and various mixers and is available in finishes like platinum,
chrome and champagne. The use of such striking finishes is not fortuitous as they
will garner the right attention as well as promise a luxurious encounter. The
Supernova Collection also highlights how structured fluidity can be achieved
without being typecast in the conventional mould.

Says Dornbracht:

“Let us take the sculptural quality of the fitting as the starting point for bathroom
architecture. The result is an island in the room, which places all of the functions
and zones of the bathroom right at the very centre. It seems as though the fitting
reflects the idea behind the architecture just as much as the architecture reflects
the idea behind the fitting”.
Dornbracht as a company always showed a predilection towards avant-garde
designs and the Supernova Collection is no different. The basic idea behind the
collection is to create an island within a confined space (the bathroom in this case)
solitary unit in itself where a single glance exposes all the sumptuous details. The
fittings seek to replicate an island's individual Laguna-like water zones in a
non-natural environment. Personally I think they have been able to achieve their
goal especially if you view all the fittings as a single entity.
