When it comes to the A&D field, it is imperative that designers keep on
reinventing hackneyed functional objects by coming up with groundbreaking
designs and non-conforming trends. But at the same time, a good design
shouldn’t be too avant-garde as establishing an emotional connection with
the consumer is important as well. The stunning Wing Bed is a great
example of how a traditional object can be restyled and reinvented without
sacrificing any of its primordial properties.
Peter Ross has designed the Wing Bed for Italian furniture giants Bonaldo.
Over the past few decades, Bonaldo has established itself as a force to be
reckoned with, when it comes to contemporary and elegant furniture. The
company is known to favor materials such as pressure cast aluminum, flexible
cold-pressed polyurethane and propylene to keep abreast with the ever
changing design trend.
The Wing simply put is an upholstered contemporary bed, which has one of
the most attention-grabbing headboards. The headboard of the Wing Bed
instantly catches your eye due to its over-sized quilted style that has been
designed to occupy a huge portion of the wall. The sense of minimalism is
palpable and the Wing Bed will definitely appeal to the young and rich
demographic that need to showcase their modern tastes in their home décor as
well. Thus the Wing Bed is a great example of how style can perfectly mesh
with sustainable design.
The beauty of any Bonaldo furniture piece is that it has been designed to
provide optimal functionality and the Wing Bed is no exception either. The
bed comes with a fully removable fabric covering and you can also adjust the
height of the base on which the mattress rests. The bed is also available in
different sizes, so if your heart desires a low bed or a high bed, the Wing
Bed will fulfill your need. In case you don’t fancy the Red fabric as shown
in the picture, then don’t fret as the made to order bed can be upholstered
in any fabric.
Flaunting unabashed glamour and luxury, the Wing Bed exudes panache and
modern sensibility. Like most “Made in Italy” designs, this one will fit
right in the international design scene and springboard towards great
design.
Says Bonaldo”
“Our output totally reflects Italian tastes and lifestyle, something unique
to Italy that cannot be reproduced elsewhere, but which interacts with
various international trends in contemporary design.”
