reinventing hackneyed functional objects by coming up with groundbreaking
designs and non-conforming trends. But at the same time, a good design
shouldn’t be too avant-garde as establishing an emotional connection with
the consumer is important as well. The stunning Wing Bed is a great
example of how a traditional object can be restyled and reinvented without
sacrificing any of its primordial properties.
Peter Ross has designed the Wing Bed for Italian furniture giants Bonaldo.
Over the past few decades, Bonaldo has established itself as a force to be
reckoned with, when it comes to contemporary and elegant furniture. The
company is known to favor materials such as pressure cast aluminum, flexible
cold-pressed polyurethane and propylene to keep abreast with the ever
changing design trend.
The Wing simply put is an upholstered contemporary bed, which has one of
the most attention-grabbing headboards. The headboard of the Wing Bed
instantly catches your eye due to its over-sized quilted style that has been
designed to occupy a huge portion of the wall. The sense of minimalism is
palpable and the Wing Bed will definitely appeal to the young and rich
demographic that need to showcase their modern tastes in their home décor as
well. Thus the Wing Bed is a great example of how style can perfectly mesh
with sustainable design.
